Storm primed for 2016
In an off season of change which saw Chairman Ty Watson retake the clipboard and return as Head Coach and Head Coach Dean Thomas taking up the Director of Rugby League post. The off season also saw the club return to the city following an unsuccessful spell being based at Booksby Melton College. Despite the first class facilities the travel and location proved too much for players and fans with numbers dropping off throughout the season.
With a further show of playing strength and talent in the city Alex Williams, Reece Williams, Ben Waud, Reece Rance and Roddy Jonas all signing contracts with professional clubs in the close season following great performances in 2015.
In 2016 there is a mixture of new and old faces, Strom legends Mahmood Saad , Simon Anniss and Gregg Harris have all signed for the new season: Anniss and Harris are both former Storm Man of Steel winners and Saad a hard hitting prop forward.
